Online Collaboration is the Feature Your Social Community Might be Missing

I desire the good life, but I don’t want an easy ride. Easy is boring.

I like a good puzzle, navigating uncharted territory and change, working together to find complex solutions, and trusting and believing that ultimately continuing in the face of adversity and perseverance pays off. It is from this place of curiosity and discovery that we at Breezio study and learn about the art of virtual online collaboration, because quite frankly it ain’t easy! And it is from this place that Breezio developed its core philosophy of community instigation and participation, and have defined and recommend the actions it takes to achieve the tipping point where virtual collaboration takes on a life of its own powered by your community.

What is the tipping point you ask? We think that this video of a guy starting a dance party is the perfect illustration to help answer that question.

It’s human to watch as one brave person takes a leap of faith to be the 1st. It’s extraordinary for the 2nd and 3rd to stand alone with the 1st for a bit before others slowly join in. And it’s about at the 10% mark when online ‘super users’ are all ‘dancing’ together for an idea to spread that the tipping point can be achieved. We see this same formula play out time and time again with online communities as they are getting started and working to find their groove. As a community manager, it’s important that you support those first dancers, your early adopters and community leaders, in the early phases of your community until you build the momentum and the crowd starts rushing in.

What’s the size of your online community, and what do you need to do to get to that critical 10% engagement benchmark? Let Breezio help you apply proven strategies and tactics to get your community dancing online! Just like anything else that’s worthwhile, it won’t always be easy, but we’ll do our best to make it feel breezy.
